Poshmark Women’s Plus Size Clothing Information

Hey Yall! I wanted to give you my Poshmark Women’s Plus Size Clothing Information. This is a new venture for me that I am excited about! I started using Poshmark about a month ago and have had success selling there. If you are unfamiliar with Poshmark it is a free app that can be downloaded on your phone. You can browse through all types of clothing, jewelry, accessories, etc there. Some of the clothing is used while other items are new with tag. If you would be interested in checking out my closet it is here:

Jenny Laura’s Poshmark Closet

I have experimented with selling children’s clothing and a variety of women’s clothing. I’ve realized though that I really prefer to sell plus size women’s clothing. I am a plus size girl and can sympathize with how hard it is to find plus sizes in stores today! It is rare that I find a plus size on a sales rack at any store. I want to bring comfortable, affordable, and attractive clothing to women.

Below is a 22/24 floral shirt from Cato’s that I put in my closet this morning!

As many of you know, I have a YouTube channel called Jenny Laura. I have started making Poshmark videos to show the quality of the clothing I find when thrifting. The quality of my items is very important to me, as I want to offer the best clothing that I possibly can. The clothing items I show on my Youtube channel go into my Poshmark closet. I am hoping that by making these videos my customers will feel confident in what they are purchasing from me. If you would be interested in checking out my channel and/or my Poshmark videos, please head over to my channel linked below.  If you see anything you like while there please post in the comments section of the video. I can get that item listed in my closet in the near future for you see.  If you have any questions about my Poshmark women’s plus size clothing information please let me know. Thank you so much for your support!

July Thrift Haul and Snugg Pictures

Hey Yall!

Hope you have had a good week. The weekend is almost here! Apparently for Snuggs, it started earlier today. He was chilling in our neighbors driveway. I snapped this picture of him before he popped up. I need to put a camera on Snuggs so I can track where he goes during the day. He missed breakfast but then I found him sitting on top of my boyfriends care tonight. What it must be like to be a cat.

Here is another picture of Snuggs chilling on the arm chair. If you would like to see more pictures of my six pets you can find them on Instagram here: https://www.instagram.com/snugg.life . I try to post weekly pictures of them doing different silly things!

Below are a few good finds from thrift stores that I purchased recently. I wanted to share the pictures with you. Under each picture I will tell you about each item.

I found these two peacock frames for $3.99 each at Goodwill. It is hard to tell but the places where there are circles or designs in the picture are mirrors. The wording is in French and the colors are really pretty. I am going to hang them in our haul. We have a nautical theme with a lot of blues in the living room so I think these will look nice!

Speaking of nautical I found this fish tea pot! My boyfriends mom is going to receive this, as we do not really need it. However, it is a really cool find as I have never seen a fish pot before. It has a lot of detail and is a nice color. Hopefully she will like it! I got this at Goodwill too for $4.99.

While I was looking around at Goodwill I came across this pair of lamps. We have been looking for a pair for the bedroom but all the lamps we find are so expensive. The design on this lamp is really unique. I think they are going to look great in the bedroom. If you are looking for lamps and happen to come across two good ones at a thrift store, make sure you put them in your buggy fast! These items go quickly. I had two people comment on my lamps saying they really liked them 🙂 These were $12.99 each which is a good deal for lamps!!

One of my favorite purchases for the week is this pillow. I do not know where it came from as it did not have a tag but it looks like it could have been from World Market. It is beautiful, soft, and sparkly. I am pretty sure this pillow was made in India or at least a country outside of the U.S. because of the material and colors. I believe I purchased this pillow for $2.99 from Goodwill.

OK well I think that is all for tonight. I hope everyone gets to do something fun this weekend and relax. It sounds crazy but I almost miss missing the weekend. The weekend felt so much more amazing when I was working. I’m very thankful for the opportunity provided to me to not work at the moment. However, not working is NOT as easy as I thought it would be. I try to keep myself busy with cleaning, the pets, going on errands, and doing pet sitting. I am still looking into college and have submitted my FAFSA. I will keep you updated on all that 🙂

Thank you for following and supporting my channel. I appreciate EVERYONE that is following my blog.  Have a goodnight!

Thrift Find – Broken Angel

When I went to the thrift store today I saw this angel music figurine.  I love finding unique old music figures (not so much boxes). The first thing that came to my mind was my sisters that are in heaven. It reminded me that they found each other. Then when I turned the music box around I found this….

One of the angels wings were broken. At first I felt sad because the music box was tainted. But then I thought about my sisters again. One whom I believe was really hurt during her life by someone that should have loved & protected her . I thought of how in so many ways he ripped her wings from her. My other sister had cancer and past away a few years ago. I like to think that she found her and is comforting her. Maybe that all sounds way out there. But I believe  in signs. I feel that sometime we all need to be reminded of something. Today, it was a nice reminder to know they found each other.

Hope you are having a good night.

Farmers Market Decor

Hey Yall

I decided to decorate our bar and book shelf today. I got inspired my Target’s Farmer’s Market items. I think that it is such a cute theme and I am pro shopping and eating local! I do not think you can find anything as fresh as from a farmer’s market. The box in the picture above was $3 at Target in the dollar section at the front of the store. The clear dairy bottle is also from Target and was $3. I had the little honey pot. I believe I got it from a thrift store for around $2.The flowers came from Michaels and were 75 % off. Their floral is all on sale right now! I grabbed two bushels and they were around $1.50 a piece. The little yellow glass pitcher is from Goodwill. I got it today for $1.99.

On the bookshelf I also wanted to put a little Farmer’s Market accent. I found this wire basket and the fake fruit at Goodwill today too. Both were $1.99.

That completes my Farmer’s Market look. I hope you enjoyed it!! I have also spent a lot of time trying to organize our office. I will have to post pictures when that is done 🙂

Hope you are having a good day!

What I Shop For, Friend Mail, and Thrift Store Book Haul

Hey Yall!

I thought I would post about small things I shop for. I would love to know about things you enjoy buying too!

Washi Tape

Cute Stamps

Gel Pens/decorative pens

small candles that smell amazing

lip gloss

nail polish

office supplies (colorful paperclips etc)

rubber stamps

Antique music figures that wind from the bottom

 Small photography books

string lights

ear rings

note pads

dog and/or cat related items

room spray

If I can think of anything else I will definitely add them to the list 🙂 . I also got a few letters in the mail today which I have not even gotten the chance to read yet. It is really nice looking in the mail box and finding letters that are not bills ah!

I also stopped by the thrift store today. I could not leave without getting several books. I have been a lot better about buying books lately. Today I do not know what happened. All I can say is that they had a lot of books that I really wanted. One of the most unique ones I got was “The Dog Album.” It is a collection of antique photos that have dogs in them! I thought that was really cool. The Big-Ass Book of Crafts 2 was another good find. It has a ton of crafts in it. Grumpy Cat is hilarious so I had to grab that book. The Grumpy Cat quotes I can REALLY relate too. I wish I could say I was a positive person but I am not. I feel like him and I could truly be friends and talk about the shit we go through. “Orange is the New Black”‘ is the Netflix series that is so good!! Season two just came out so if you have not watched it you may want to check it out. This 2nd season was a lot more intense. Finally, The book “Uninvited” is a Christian book that I feel I am going to be able to relate too. It sounds like the writers dad abandoned her and that she had a hard life growing up. I found the workbook that came with the book as well. I’ve been looking at that book for a while at my church. It sold for $15 there so to get the book and workbook for $4 together I was happy!

Have you found anything cool lately at the thrift store? Post in the comments below if you have!

OK I hope yall have a great day!

More Thrift Finds ( June 2017 )

Hey Yall

First and foremost I wanted to say welcome to my new followers! Thank you so much for following my page and supporting it. I post a variety of things from crafts, photography, and journal entries. It is my goal to bring everyone that comes to my blog affordable DIY’s and topics in which they may be able to relate too. Know how much I really appreciate you.

The other day I went to the thrift store and picked up a couple of things. Below are pictures of some of the items I got. The only thing that I did not take pictures of are the clothes that I purchased.

One thing you can usually ALWAYS find at thrift stores is books! At Goodwill I believe the soft back books are $1.99. I went to the Goodwill clearance center where they weigh your items so these books were purchased for cheaper! I have read Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert and really enjoyed it. Being that I am about to turn 30, as she was in the book, I am wanting to now re read it to see if I can identify with it more.

Frames are another common item at thrift stores. Even if you find some very unattractive frames that is OK. You can spray paint them or do DIY’s with them regardless. I am planning on making a button and colored pencil frame. I will post those DIY’s when I am done.

I found three makeup cases at the Goodwill clearance center.  I could tell they had never been used because the plastic was still on their tags and they were extremely clean. These are really good to send in friend mail, give to a friend, or a significant other (if it is a girl). Or if you are going traveling and need a mini travel back for makeup or other these work great!

I found this sparkly “Peace” Christmas decor. I love sparkly things and tend to pick up Christmas decor here and there if I find them in good condition. I do not like it to come down to December and have to buy all new things. And I really can’t afford to do that this year so anything I can find for super cheap is really ideal.

Lastly, I found some flip flops. They grey and green OP ones I gave to my boyfriend. The black and brown ones I am going to use for myself. Shoes are a hot commodity at the clearance center where I go. Everyone lines up around the bins and when the employees say GO the people start grabbing up as many shoes as they can and putting them in their basket. It is pretty stressful so I just usually wait until everyone is done to see what is left. You can’t ever go wrong with a pair of flip flops so I was happy to find these.

OK so that is my haul. I hope that you enjoyed it. If you would like to comment and share some cool things that you found at the thrift store I would love to hear about it! I also love to hear about what people enjoy collecting. I myself collect music boxes that wind up from the bottom. I get ones that really stand out to me.

Hope you are having a good night!

Shopping and a Rainy Day

Hey Yall!

Hope everyone is doing well and staying out of the rain. I recently ran outside to snap a picture of one of our roses. I think flowers are the most beautiful right after it rains.

I used to sell my photography and honestly kind of miss doing that. It was nice to have a large collection of things I have photographed to share with people. I used to sell through Etsy but ultimately took it down because of shipping costs and the fact that the person printing my photographs was really slow. If I try again, I will do a lot of things differently.

Today I went to the gym by myself. It is good to get back into going after having been so sick. Once I get into a rhythm of going to the gym it gets a lot easier. I prefer going with friends though because if I am going with someone I come up with way less excuses to not go! I went thrift store shopping a little today. Below are things I saw and some of the things I picked up.

Above is what I got today from Goodwill. Though I have tried to cut back on getting books I had a nice girl tell me that “Still Alice” was a good one. I liked the idea that it raises Alzheimer awareness. The disease from what I know is progressive and incurable. So many people have lost loved ones to it.  I cannot imagine forgetting your life and those around you that you love. I also found a pair of beer pajamas. They are guys but let me tell you something…men’s clothing is often A LOT more comfortable than women’s! It is also more durable. I could not leave those pants behind as I am a beer drinker. The black pants are yoga pants that I am going to work out in. I am so thankful that someone invented something with that kind of material because they really soft. The “free love” shirt is sleeveless, long, and soft. I figured it would be good for the gym for when it gets really hot. The blue bottle is a Thermos workout bottle. I got it for 99 cents!! The last find was a pair of Sketchers Sandals. After looking them up I found out they sell for $28.99. This may not be a lot of money to some people but it is to me. I got the sandals for $5. I have a really big foot so it is hard to find shoes that will work. These were actually really comfortable so I am pleased with that purchase.

Below are some shirts that I liked. I did not buy any of them because they were not my size but I liked the messages on them. Especially the message on the last shirt. If you are at a job where you feel that you are sacrificing yourself daily just to make ends meet, you are most likely really burned out and depressed. Find something you love and do it with all your heart. That will bring you a peace that you cannot find anywhere else.

Then there are always those really random weird finds…

No I did not buy either of these ha! But I am telling you, you can find all kinds of things at a thrift store. It is crazy 🙂 Then there are always those crazy overpriced items that are broken or just down right gross. Here is one….. Tinkerbell looks like she is drowning in some muddy rain water and the thrift store would like you to pay $7.99 to watch it. Yeah, umm I am good…….

Today I have also looked into doing some volunteer work. There is a horse farm around my area that rescues abused or unwanted horses and helps to rehabilitate them. My friend recommended them so I am hoping they call be back. I’m feeling very bored. I do NOT regret my decision to leave my last employment. With that being said, I do need to find something to do. I may also check into volunteering for a nursing home in the area. I have a week long overnight pet sit coming up for a friend so that is good. I will pretend that I am on vacation 🙂 I’m sure I will be blogging a lot in a week when I am there!

Have a great day

May 2017 Thrift Finds

Hey Yall

Hope you are having a good day. Above is a picture of the thrift finds that I found today. To the left are two Tervis cups. I got each one for 99 cents. At the store, they would have been $15-$20 EACH! Very happy about those. Especially the fact that they came with lids that look new. In the middle I purchased two candles. The blue one has a clean scent and is in a very heavy nautical looking holder. The white one smells really yummy. It’s a tropical scent that reminds me of a pina colada! There is a taller blue candle holder next to the blue candle. It still had a tag on it. I think the same person dropped them off because they are similar colors and styles. To the right is a Paris themed cat bowl. The silver bowl lifts out which is really nice to clean it. I’ve been cutting back on buying books but when I see an animal photography book I pretty much melt.  This book was written/photographed by William Wegman. It had some really cute puppy pictures in it. I am going to use it as motivation to continue on with animal photography.   There is a blue vase next to the book that is hard to see. It has two owls on it and looks unique. The last thing is the little honey jar in the middle. I remember my aunt having a honey jar on her table. She had a little honey comb thing on the stick. Most honey jars do not have that . They will have like a little spoon inside or something but this one was similar to hers! I had to get it !

I love thrift shopping but you have to be REALLY careful what you buy so that you do not get ripped off. I feel that thrift stores have caught on that people are reselling their items. I have seen items be priced for ABOVE retail before. This bottle stood out to me today. I wanted to show you an example.

This bottle is priced at $6.99. Below is a bottle I just purchased from the Dollar Tree. They also had it in blue.

So just be careful! I buy things that are in good condition, ideally with tags, and priced very low. I normally do not buy candles from thrift stores because they are priced too high. But today I just lucked out with what I found.

Have a good day!

Thrift Find

Hey Yall

I wanted to share with you the thrift find I discovered today.

I love this little light up teapot! I got it for $7.99 at Goodwill. I always plug things in to make sure they work before buying. This coffee pot lit up and looked so beautiful. The picture does not do it justice.

Our coffee bar is now almost complete. The pictures on the wall are from Dollar Tree as are the small clear droors that contain the sugars packets to the right. The “Black Cat” canvas is from Goodwill.

Have a goodnight !

Music Box Thrift Find

Hey Yall

Hope you had a good  Monday. It definitely felt like a Monday. It was a very dreary an rainy day which made it seem long.  I stopped by the thrift store and found an old music box. I have decide to collect old music boxes that are unique in some way. What stood out to be about this one is that these two children were praying. Being a Christian, I really liked that. There was an older lady in the thrift store that told me this music box was 1940s-1950s. Her grandmother had given this identical music box to her when she was young. She pointed out that the table leg was broken on this. What I am shocked about is that people feel that something small that is broken would keep me from buying it.

I also picked up some candle sticks, two glass plates, and a pink small glass bowl. I am going to make a few crafts with it. I will take a picture of them as soon as I make them for yall.  I am finding more creative things to do with candle sticks.  I inspire you guys to watch some DIY YouTube videos. You will not only learn how to do cool things but you will also start to come up with ideas of your own!

If you would like to share with me what you have found at the thrift store lately, I would love to hear!! Please post about it below. Have a good night!
